HUARAZ & THE CORDILLERA BLANCA

Mystery Peru invites you to know Huaraz, the main gate to the Cordillera Blanca, a wonderful place full of nature and huge glaciers with over 5000 metres. Huaraz is a great destination for those adventure travellers in search of climbing and trekking, as the area offers a network of trails used by local communities located up in the mountains. Among the highest mountain in South America, the Cordillera Blanca offers some of the finest scenery as well as turquoise coloured lakes fed by various gigantic snow peaks, including the mighty Huascaran Mountain, a snow crested peak with an altitude of 6768 metre, the highest mountain in Peru.
