Program: 2 days / 1 night

Day 1º: Bus ride from Lima to Paracas.

12:30 h. You will be picked up from your hotel in Lima and then transferred to the bus station of Cruz del Sur where you will board a tourist bus called Cruzero. The bus journey from Lima to Paracas takes 3 hours. Upon you arrival in Paracas, you will be met at the bus station by a representative from Mystery Peru, and afterwards you will be transferred to the designated hotel. Rest of the day free to relax in fron of the beach. Overnight in Paracas.

Day 2º: Ballestas Islands & Paracas Peninsula - Return to Lima.

07:45 h. You will be picked up from your hotel in Paracas and then transferred to the dock of Paracas where we will take a speed boat to visit the Ballestas Islands. During our boat excursion to the Islands you will see many attractions, among them, stands out a huge design etched on the slope of hill, known by the local people as The Candelabra. This is an enormous figure that can be seen clearly from the sea. Our local guide will explain the most important theories concerning this drawing. Afterwards, we will continue our excursion around the Ballestas Islands, where you will see hundreds of birds flying (Peruvian Bobbies, Inca terms, Pelicans, Cormorants and others) above the Islands, as well as dozens of sea lions on the shore of the beaches, and if you are lucky you also can see the famous Humboldt Penguins and dolphins swimming nearby. It is not allowed to land on the Island, which means you will spend all the tour on the boat. After our visit to the islands, we will visit the Paracas Peninsula by land. During our excursion to the Paracas Reserve, we will drive across a yellowish desert, following a dirt road till the cliff where once stood the gorgeous natural rock formation known as the Cathedral. (Unfortunately this great rock formation was destroyed with a strong earthquake in 2007). The scenery around is still very beautifull and clients can walk along the edge of the ocean and take photos. Finally we will take you to the little village of Lagunillas for lunch. Here there are various restaurants overlooking the ocean that serve mainly fresh fish in their menus. Finally you will be transferred to the bus station to take the bus to Lima. Upon your arrival in Lima you will be met by a representative from Mystery Peru and then transferred to your hotel.

• 17:00 h. Transfer to the bus station of Cruz del Sur.

• 21:00 h. Pick up at the bus station in Lima & transfer to your hotel.

Recommendations:

• On this tour you must bring warm clothing or just a wind breaker, as it gets very windy once the boat gets in motion. Bring sun block to avoid sun burning, sun glasses and a cap.
