the BAND OF HOLES & the nazca lines flight.

Programm: 2 days / 1 nigth.

Day 1°.- Lima – Band of Holes – Huacachina Oasis – Nazca Lines

07:00 hrs. You will be picked up from your hotel in Lima by our representative and then will travel aboard a private vehicle. We will travel along the Peruvian Coast directly to the Valley of Pisco where are located the strange Band of Holes, also known as the smallpox avenue. Our journey from Lima to the Valley of Pisco will last about 3 hours. Once we had reached the area we will take a fascinating trek that goes from the river bed up to the mountain following the course of these mysterious holes. At the lowest part of the trail we will able to see ancient tombs perfectly preserved, showing some human remains from the ancient cultures that once inhabited the valley. Then we will walk up towards the summit of the mountain. The trail gets very steep at the end, but once you reach the top of the mountain you will enjoy a magnificent view of the Band of Holes and can take good photos. Later on we will continue our trip towards the Huacachina Oasis, locate at the city of Ica. At the Huacachina Oasis we will make a break for lunch. There are various nice restaurants here overlooking the lagoon. The huge white sand dunes surrounding the lagoon are perfect to practice one of the most exciting sports in the area "Sandboarding". After our visit in Huacachina, we will continue our trip to Nazca (2 hours). Overnight in Nazca at the Hotel Casa Andina Classic Nazca *** or similar.

Day 2.- Flight over the Nazca Lines - Nazca Lines Tower - Return to Lima

08:00 hrs. You will be picked up from your hotel and then will be transferred to the airdrome of Nazca to fly over the Nazca desert. Prior the flight you will watch a video film about the Nazca Lines that will allow you get a better understanding of the archaeological zone you will see from the air. This interesting documentary lasts about 40 minutes and involves serious information about the Nazca Culture, as well as the drawings etched on the desert. For this aerial tour, you will board a small Cessna single-engine aircraft (Station air, Sky hawk or Skyline type), which has spacious room for 5 people, each person with a window seat. After the video, our English speaking pilot will proceed to give you a briefing about this air tour and also will give each participant a map of the archaeological zone. The map shows all the figures you will see from the air. Among the figures, you will see an impressive representation of a monkey, a whale, a spider, a hummingbird, a parrot, a condor, geometrical shapes and hundreds of straight lines crisscrossing the Nazca desert. After the flight you will have some free time to rest at the hotel and then at 11:00 am we will be leaving to the city of Lima. On the way out we will stop at the Nazca desert to visit the Mirador Metallic tower from where you can see 2 of the famous Nazca drawings. Finally we will continue to the city of Lima. We will be back in Lima at around 17:00 hrs. End of the tour.

• On this tour you must bring light clothing, as the weather on the southern coast used to be very hot, especially in summer time (from December to March) when temperatures can reach 35 º C / 104 ºF sometimes.
