THE NAZCA LINES & THE BAY OF SAN FERNANDO.

Program: 3 days / 2 nights

Day 1º: Tourist Bus to the City of Nazca.

06:15hrs. You will be picked up from your hotel in Lima and then transferred to the bus station to take a tourist bus to the city of Nazca. Upon your arrival you will be met by a representative from Mystery Peru and then transferred to your. In the afternoon you will be picked up from your hotel and then transferred to the local airport of Nazca to do the flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines. We will fly over an enigmatic zone, where hundreds of years ago ancient Peruvians drew huge designs that can be seen only from the air. Among the figures we will see an enormous representation of a monkey, a hummingbird, a condor, and a strange creature known as the Spaceman. Afterwards you will return to the city of Nazca. Overnight at the Hotel Casa Andina Classic Nazca *** or similar.

• Pick up from the station upon your arrival in Nazca and transfer to the hotel.
• 15:00 hrs. Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the local airport of Nazca.
• Classic Flight over the Nazca Lines + Airport taxes.
• Transfer back to the hotel.

Day 2º: Chauchilla Cemetery & The Marine Bay of San Fernando

08:00hrs. You will be picked up by our local guide and then will drive south. We start off by visiting the ancient graveyard of Chauchilla, an ancient burial site located out in the desert. At the site you will be able to see old tombs containing human remains, most of them naturally mummified. The place was looted long ago by grave robbers, so many bones and ceramics fragments from that local culture can be seen scattered over the ground. Later on we will leave Chauchilla and will drive west towards the shores of the Pacific Ocean. The excursion to San Fernando Bay is done with a 4x4 wheel machine and is accompanied by a local guide. Along the way you will enjoy a unique landscape of the desert, a place so desolate that could well be the surface of Mars, so dry and lifeless. After approximately 2 hours, we will be descending to the shores of the Pacific Ocean and suddenly San Fernando will appear like a marine paradise in front of us. At the point called El Mirador, we will stop for some panoramic pictures and afterwards we will descend on foot towards the bay. Here our guide will take us to explore spots where you can observe marine creatures. We will walk across the peninsula to one point where it is possible to observe many types of birds, such as cormorants, pelicans, oysters catchers, seagulls and the mighty Condor. There will be time enough for each visitor to walk around and to explore the peninsula on their own. Our guide will show you certain places where you can see Humboldt Penguins, and other rare seen species like sea otters. After a complete exploration of the Island, we will return to the beach to have lunch, and if you wish, you can swim in the cold waters of San Fernando. We will return to Nazca by 17:00 h, approximately. Overnight at the Hotel Casa Andina Classic Nazca *** or similar.

Day 3º: Underground Channels of Cantayo - Bus ride to Lima

08:30 hrs. You will be picked up from your hotel by our local guide and then we will visit the ancient underground channels of Cantayo. The channel of Cantayo represents a master piece of hydraulic works of the ancient world, as its construction is unique in America. This great archaeological tour is combined with the visit to the Nazca ceramic studio, a workshop where you will be able to learn about the elaboration of the Nazca vessels and other pieces of art.
Later on at 11:00 hrs, you will be transferred to the bus station to take a bus to the City of Lima. Upon you arrival in Lima a representative from Mystery Peru will meet you at the bus station and then will transfer you to your hotel. End of our service.

Recommendations:. 

• On this tour you must bring light clothing, as the weather on the southern coast used to be very hot, especially in summer time (from December to March) when temperatures can reach 40º C / 104 ºF sometimes.
• We suggest to bring sun block to avoid sun burning, a hat, a bottle of water and sun glasses.
