fULL DAY BOAT EXCURSION TO THE UROS FLOATING ISLANDS.

Description:

9:00 h. Our clients are collected from their hotels and then transferred down to the harbor. At the harbor we will embark on a motorized boat that will take us to the tribes of the Uros people. The boat ride last roughly 30 minutes and offers fine views of the Lake Titicaca, as well as from the surrounding mountains. Upon our arrival our group we will be welcomed by a group of islanders, who afterwards will show us around. Our guide will explain important aspects of the live of these people and afterwards you will go for a ride in a small reed boat made by the Uros people. The reed boat will take you from one island to another, so that you may meet other locals from another island. The distance from one island to another is not long. At lunch time we will be taken to a nice local house-restaurant where you will enjoy a good Andean lunch. Later on we will visit the zone of Chullini, a nice community inhabited mainly by fishermen where you will be able learn about the techniques of fishing in the Lake. On this zone you can also visit colorful souvenirs shops located outdoor where local women sell various products made of Alpaca wool and other handicrafts. Finally we will take you to a zone where you can observe some residents birds of the Lake Titicaca. 15:30 h. We will return to the city of Puno. Upon your arrival at the lake dock you will be picked up by a Mystery Peru representative and then transferred to your hotel.

• On this tour you must bring warm clothing,as temperatures might drop fast sometimes. We strongly suggest to bring along, gloves, wooly hats, chocolates, botle of water and sun block to avoid sun burning.
